Field Trip To The Clare V. Studio
There are a handful of rules when visiting the Frogtown LA offices of Clare V. and adjoining studio of its founder, American fashion designer Clare Vivier:
1. Wear a chic face mask that will earn you a compliment.
2. Sample luxurious alcohol-based hand sanitizer from Flamingo Estate made with Rosemary, Vetiver, Hinoki, and Eucalyptus.
3. Prepare yourself to enter an environment where imagination provides a sweet escape from the challenges outside.
In mid-September our design team embarked on a Field Trip to visit the Clare V. studio and present the first round of wallpaper samples from our new collaboration that would come to be known as:
Clare V. Vol. 2 x Wallshoppe
The new wallpaper prints feature an array of bold patterns inspired by Paris, Los Angeles, and Mid-Century modern design and build upon the popularity and chic color combinations of the original collection, which first went to market in 2017. New patterns such as “Canals,” “Petite Fleur,” and “Pop Dots” showcase the iconic concepts procured from the designer’s archives.

During the visit Wallshoppe’s co-creative director, interior designer Nathan Turner, provided specific advice on what color ways are on trend for home décor and what color ways customers are repeatedly drawn to.

The entire crew was thrilled while shuffling through the large wallpaper samples, with Clare Viver even “trying on” some patterns in front of a full length mirror to mimic how the patterns might look on a long skirt or jumpsuit.

Launching in just a few days, all of the new Clare V. Vol. 2 x Wallshoppe patterns will be available for purchase in removable peel & stick wallpaper panels as well as traditional rolls. Considering how innovative these new designs are, it will be fun to watch how easily the wallpaper will infuse a fun energy into so many types of spaces, from a home office and Zoom background, to a new local café, and even a baby nursery.
